Region of Iron Mountains

The town cultural centre is an organization which ensures full participation in cultural activities for town residents. Besides realization of professional cultural programs and activities the town cultural centre also gives attention to various creative activities of citizens and is ready to support them with its potencial of realization by an expert assistance and even direct participation.
Musical, graphic, theatrical, educational and social activities are realized in a facility called "Stará Pošta (The Old Post-office)" on the Masaryk square 20, in a facility on Slovanská 3 street, in the bastion of town fortifications, in Skalky area, (for example Novojičínské Krylonoce), in the open-air theatre Skalky (for example Divadelní dílna), on the Masaryk square (traditional festival in Nový Jičín). A part of the town cultural centre is the network of rental libraries.
