Children's folklore group Slavičánek [ Folklore group FoS CZ ]
Children's folklore group Slavičánek is named by the place of its origin.Slavičín - it is a picturesque little town in south-eastern Moravia, located among the slopes of Vizovické vrchy mountains, the White Carpathian mountains andJavorníky mountains. Due to its location, there are met influences of folklore regions Luhačovického Zálesí, Slovácko and Walachia.
In 1985 several teachers established the group which has been acting under the support of Primary schoolVlára in Slavičín. There is about sixty kids of school age in the dance part of the group and the dancers areaccompanied by fiddler's music band of Primary school of Arts from Slavičín.
The kids are introduced into the beauty of Walachian songs, dances and customs. The group is aimed tosupport children's talent and to preserve the treasure of Walachian folklore.
