Region of Iron Mountains

Area of the nature preserve of 4,9 hectares and of the protective zone of 5,5 hectares; cadastral territory Spálov; elevation above sea-level 570 - 580 m
Proclaimed by the regulation of the District office Nový Jičín Nr. 1/2000 from 9th October 2000.

The main subject of nature preserve protection Královec is ecosystem of wetland coenose of meadow growth and forest meadows of spring area's alder carrs with occurance of especially protected species of plants and animals bound to these coenoses. In territory of the nature preserve there occur about 120 species of higher plants from that 7 belong to endangered species - broad leaved marsh orchid, common cotton-grass, forest rattle,round-headed rampion, dwarf scorzonera, chestnut trefoil, marsh valerian. The nature preserve is zoology interesting above all with occurance of amphibians and reptiles (eft, toad, green tree-frog, grass-frog and viviparous lizard). The protective zone makes up the nature preserve predominantly forest stands of set of gleysation acid firs.
